Koe 2.0.0
- A new Koe, rebuilt from scratch as a native Mac app: a little chat bubble in your menu bar. Hold fn, talk, let go, and your words are typed where your cursor is.
- Everything happens on your Mac. Koe hears you with Parakeet Ultra on your chip's Neural Engine: no account, no server, and no connection needed once its voice model is downloaded.
- Much faster: a sentence is typed about a tenth of a second after you let go, and 30 minutes of audio takes about 4 seconds.
- 25 European languages, found on their own, even when you switch language in the middle of a dictation. The dictionary spells names and jargon your way.
- While you talk, a small candy pill sits low on the screen: gray bars while it waits for your voice, dancing bars as you talk, a wave while the words are worked out, a check when they land.
- Never loses a word: a dictation is on disk from its first second, and after a crash Koe puts it on the clipboard.
- Koe speaks your Mac's language: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, Simplified and Traditional.
- Koe 2 does one thing, on your Mac: no cloud modes, no Voice Actions, no model to choose. It needs an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later; on an Intel Mac, keep Koe 0.1.
